Jeevan Jyoti Blood Centre & Components has been part of Nagpur’s healthcare backbone since 1997. Run by the Jeevan Jyoti Health Care & Research Trust (Reg. No. E-1520) and accredited by NABH, we were the first blood centre in Central India to offer complete component separation — turning a single voluntary donation into whole blood, red cells, plasma, platelets and more, so that one act of generosity can reach several patients at once.

Whole blood on its own can only do so much. Separated into its individual components — red cells, plasma, platelets and cryoprecipitate — a single unit can support several patients at once, each receiving exactly the component their treatment calls for. This is the science behind component therapy, and it’s been at the heart of what we do since 1997.
Red blood cells with most plasma removed — the standard treatment for anaemia and acute blood loss.
Plasma frozen soon after collection to preserve clotting factors, for coagulation deficiencies and liver disease.
Platelets prepared from whole blood, used to prevent and treat bleeding due to low platelet counts.
Platelets collected from one donor by apheresis — high-dose support with lower donor exposure.
Concentrated fibrinogen and clotting factors for bleeding disorders and massive haemorrhage.
Components with white cells removed, reducing febrile reactions and alloimmunisation risk.
